Technology has become more sophisticated in this era yet less expensive; which means, development in the software industry is a endless hustle bringing technology to the craziest place of change the world has ever known. In the age of great and rapid technological growth, we in Abia do not want to be left behind. One way to ensure that is to spread awareness about technology and how it affects our daily lives.

Techflock is an annual tech event which is geared towards providing startups with a viable platform to showcase their ideas, sensitize young minds on the diverse benefits of being in the tech community as well as creating an avenue to attract investors and influence the growth of start-ups in the state.

Techflock is also aimed at bringing innovators, leaders and tech enthusiasts to discuss and share ideas on the current happenings in the industry. It gives individuals an opportunity to be further enlightened on tech innovations that they might be unaware of. This year’s attendees were able to get a first-hand experience of meeting with creative minds who share similar interests in the industry of tech that is incomparable to simply reading about it.

This year, Abia Tech Hub held the 2nd edition of her annual tech event TECHFLOCK at No. 6 Warri Street in the city of Umuahia on the 23rd and 24th of July, 2021. The theme for this year’s edition was “THE TECHPRENUER’S MINDSET“. The event was free and had over 200 participants! A milestone reached in comparison to the first edition.

Bearing in mind that having a tech community is one of the best ways to network and find opportunities in the industry, TechFlock created grounds for this to be possible with leaders and business owners educating, encouraging and sharing major points and stories on their evident journey to success. This is important as young people constantly need a drive to push further in their own journey and nothing beats a relatable story and evidences of the benefits of hard and smart work.

The event also gave young techpreneurs an opportunity to showcase their brands and ideas, and establish a wider reach among potential clients. Face-to-face networking is very powerful as it attracts interested investors to be the shakers and movers that can make the difference between a great quarter and a good one.
